Meet Lindsay
Lindsay DeFranco (known online as Linz) grew up in Fulton County, attending Barnwell Elementary, Haynes Bridge Middle, and Centennial High. After graduating early through one of the first accredited virtual high school programs, she followed a nontraditional path, ultimately building a successful career in digital media and advocacy.
She co-founded Not So Fast, a media literacy nonprofit, and serves as Vice President at Rogue Rocket, where she helps lead one of YouTube’s longest-running independent news shows. Her work has always centered on helping people think critically, consume media responsibly, and engage with the truth.
Lindsay returned to her hometown in 2024 after 15 years in Los Angeles to make sure her children had the same access to a great education that she had, and give back to the community that helped raise her. Since returning, she’s served as a poll watcher with the ACLU and Georgia Democrats, advised political campaigns, and used her voice to hold elected officials accountable—reaching millions online and sparking meaningful conversations about truth, education, and civic responsibility.
She’s also a CASA-trained volunteer, an artist, and a parent of two kids in Fulton County Schools. Her leadership style is rooted in empathy, transparency, and boldness—always putting kids and community first.
